The Story
DotGreen Micro-Art Gallery stands as a living homage to Gabriel Wayenberg, an author, poet, and cineast whose resilience and talent flourished within these walls. Much like Ben Gurion’s house in Tel Aviv, DotGreen preserves the essence of its former inhabitant’s life, maintaining the structure in its original state as restored by master wood interior architect Limbosch. This conservation effort honors the simplicity and creativity of Gabriel’s years here, with only the base floors and the poolhouse repurposed as exhibition spaces. The upper levels of the house are dedicated to artist residencies, offering creators an inspiring environment steeped in history and culture. Currently undergoing renovation, the gallery retains its charming authenticity while modern upgrades ensure its functionality as a beacon for art and community. Located in a lush corner of Goustouwersstraat, this green haven merges Flemish artistic heritage with a thriving ecosystem of exhibitions, workshops, and residencies, inviting visitors to explore art where history and inspiration converge.
